CURE is an organization dedicated to helping undergraduates become involved in research through the implementation of weekly modules, workshops, and a student mentorship program connecting them to an experienced undergraduate researcher.
Mentors
As a mentor for CURE at UCLA, you will have the opportunity to guide undergraduates through the process of beginning research at UCLA. Mentors work directly with students to guide them through the research application process and will coach students through weekly modules offered by CURE. You would be responsible for attending weekly meetings and hosting outside meetings with your mentees to ensure that they are mastering the material covered in module and the workshops.
We are looking for students researchers who are motivated, dedicated to teaching, and passionate about helping improve the undergraduate research experience at UCLA.

Mentees
This is an intimate and personalized program where mentees are paired with an experienced
mentor and attend weekly modules to learn more about getting involved with and succeeding in research on campus. We cater resources specifically to students' indicated areas of interest, and assist you with every step of the research process, from applying to laboratories to obtaining research scholarships.
Any student at UCLA can apply to me a mentee, no matter the year or previous research experience level.

Executive Board
Executive Board members keep our organization running by managing CURE's internal and external services. Members hold diverse responsibilities including hosting workshops, presenting research skills modules, organizing socials, and more. In addition to general leadership, the Executive Board has the opportunity to gain unique skills through event-planning, public speaking, advertising, and overseeing mentee-mentor dynamics.
Executive Board applications for CURE at UCLA 2026-2027 will open in Spring 2026.
